Red Box short-listed in the South Coast Business Awards

Red Box are proud to announce they have been shortlisted in the Smith and Williamson award category for the ‘Best International Performance by a South Coast Company’ at the upcoming South Coast Business Awards , organised by the Daily Echo, and in association with Trethowans Solicitors.

The awards, which will be held this year at the Grand Harbour Hotel in the heart of Southampton on the 11th July, aim to raise standards, stimulate competition and recognise business excellence on the South Coast. The shortlisted firms were chosen by a panel of experts with support from Santander Corporate Banking.

The ‘Best International Performance by a South Coast Company’ award, sponsored by the accountancy and investment management group Smith and Williamson, looks to award the company which, in their view, has best developed the international element of its business over the past three years.

Red Box International, who have been manufacturing Aviation Ground Power since 1993 in the UK, licensed a manufacturing facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA in 2010 and have gradually added to the range of products manufactured there, and are now nearly at full manufacturing capabilities. Since increasing marketing activity on a variety of platforms since 2011 Red Box have experienced year-on year growth of sales, and the demand meant the employment of two full time Sales positions during 2013 and 2014, and distributors appointed in the US and Canada. The US production is only to facilitate the Americas, full production of the equipment for the rest of the world is still done from the Romsey facility.

Red box have a number of long standing distributors globally, representing them in the following countries: Libya, Japan, Kenya, The Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Belgium, France, Holland, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, China, South Africa, Germany, Thailand, Nigeria, Australia, India, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bosnia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Albania, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Italy, Austria, Switzerland. Red Box take a multi-faceted approach to supporting their distributors. Including providing support with providing marketing materials for shows and exhibitions in their territories, assisting and co-exhibiting at these shows, and assisting with their marketing strategy concerning Red Box products i.e promotions for their customer base and reaching out to new customers.
Red Box see their distributors as an extension of the brand and family, and encourage full involvement on both sides when it comes to sales, marketing and customer service activity. It is this focus and the importance they put on finding the right distributors that has been key to their international success.
