Rockwell Commander 114

The original Rockwell Commander 112 stands as an American four-seat, single-engined general aviation aircraft, first introduced in 1972 and designed and manufactured by North American Rockwell. The aim was to create an aircraft capable of competing in both the fixed-gear four-seat market and the realm of retractable twin-engine six-seat designs. In 1976, Rockwell unveiled a new variant, named the Commander 114, which featured a larger Lycoming IO-540 engine and incorporated other minor adjustments to enhance performance. Approximately 1,000 aircraft were produced and sold across various models and variants before the production line ceased operations in 1980. In 1988, Commander Aircraft acquired the rights to the Commander 114 and other models in the family.
