Leonardo (AgustaWestland) AW169

The Leonardo AW169 is a twin-engine helicopter developed and manufactured by the helicopter division of Leonardo, formerly known as AgustaWestland. Described as a light-intermediate, twin-engine utility helicopter, the AW169 underwent development with a primary focus on reducing production, operation, and maintenance costs. AgustaWestland strategically decided to have the AW169 share cockpit configuration and several components with its predecessors, the AgustaWestland AW139 and AW189.

The final design of the AW169 incorporates a pair of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210A FADEC turboshaft powerplants, propelling the advanced main rotor at variable speeds to reduce external noise and enhance efficiency. An innovative feature of the AW169 is its electronically actuated landing gear, making it the first helicopter in its category with this capability.

Red Box is delighted to offer an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for this aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, all meticulously suited to meet the specific requirements of the Leonardo AW169 aircraft.

Additionally, we provide a combination of start and continuous power in a single unit for the Leonardo AW169 aircraft in our TC3000 range.
