Agusta Westland Aw169

The AgustaWestland AW169 is a twin-engine helicopter developed and manufactured by the helicopter division of Leonardo, formerly known as AgustaWestland. Described as a light-intermediate, twin-engine utility helicopter, the AW169 was designed with a focus on reducing production, operation, and maintenance costs. To achieve this, AgustaWestland decided to share the cockpit configuration and several components with the predecessor models AW139 and AW189.

The AW169’s final design features a pair of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210A FADEC turboshaft powerplants, driving an advanced main rotor at variable speeds to reduce external noise and improve efficiency. Notably, the AW169 is equipped with electronically actuated landing gear, making it the first helicopter in its category with this capability.

Red Box offers an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for the Agusta Westland AW169 aircraft. This includes tugs, ground power units, start power units and more. Specifically designed to meet the requirements of the AW169, our offerings feature the 717 tug, the RBSC300 continuous power unit, ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous powering of equipment during operations without draining the onboard aircraft batteries, and the Twin RBL4.
