The Beechcraft 36 Bonanza is a derivative of the predecessing Beechcraft 33 Debonair. To create the new 36 Series design in 1968, Beechcraft had extended the fuselage of the 33 Debonair, to allow for additional seats and passenger windows, as well as using a more powerful engine. The Beechcraft B36TC was a newly developed model in the line, introduced in the early 1980s. The B36TC model was equipped with a re-envisioned instrument panel and controls, and a larger range and MTOW.
