The Canadair CL-415 was purpose-built and designed for aerial firefighting in the early 1990s. This modern turboprop-powered aircraft was a new design based on the preceding CL-215T, with various aspects of the plane overhauled, including general aerodynamics and cockpit arrangements, all aimed at enhancing CL-415 performance. As a water bomber, Canadair aimed for the aircraft to be reliable and significantly modernized to meet market demands. The CL-415 was equipped with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW123AF engines. Shortly after production began in 1994, Bombardier acquired the rights for the aircraft’s program, later obtained by Viking Aircraft.
Red Box is delighted to offer an extensive range of ground power equipment for the Bombardier 415 (CL-415) aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, perfectly suited to the aircraft’s requirements.
Our offerings include the 757 tug and the RBPS50 continuous power unit, ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous powering of equipment during operations without draining the onboard aircraft batteries. Additionally, we provide a combination of start and continuous power in one unit for the Bombardier 415 (CL-415) in our TC3000 range.
