Bombardier (Business) Challenger 601

The Bombardier Challenger 600 series constitutes a family of long-range business jets initially designed by Canadair, subsequently acquired by Bombardier Aerospace in 1986. The twin-engine design underwent several enhancements to the original airframe conceptualized in 1977, incorporating a T-tail in lieu of the previously employed conventional tail, a widened fuselage, and a supercritical wing with an NACA symmetrical airfoil. The subsequent Challenger 601 series featured upgraded General Electric CF34 engines, with each model representing an improvement over its predecessor. The Challenger’s cabin boasted an array of facilities, rendering the business jet particularly appealing to the corporate market, with over a thousand models sold by 2018.
