The CASA C-121 Aviocar first flown in 1971, and a is a medium turborpop cargo aircraft. Due to a demand of a modernised aircraft for transporting cargo for the Spanish Air Force, CASA proposed the C-212 as a means to fulfill several other military and civil roles as well. The aircraft was designed with a high-mounted wing, conventional tail and fixed tricycle landing gear. The aircraft can seat up to 28 passangers depending on its configuration.
