Eurocopter Sa330 Puma

The Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma is a twin-engined, medium utility helicopter. Its inception stemmed from a proposal by Sud Aviation to fulfill a requirement set by the French Army for a medium-sized transport helicopter capable of accommodating up to 20 troops and performing in challenging weather conditions. In 1963, the French government provided financial support for the development of this clean-sheet design. The primary focus of the project was to create a versatile cargo/passenger space that could be configured for specific military duties. To ensure high speed and endurance in extreme circumstances, the SA 330 Puma was equipped with twin roof-mounted Turbomeca Turmo engines powering a four-blade rotor. The Puma subsequently evolved into more advanced models, including the AS332 Super Puma and AS532 Cougar.

Red Box is delighted to present an extensive range of ground power and support equipment for this aircraft, encompassing tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, perfectly tailored to the requirements of the SA 330 Puma aircraft.

Our offerings include the 717 tug, the RBSC150 continuous power unit—ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous equipment powering during operations without depleting the onboard aircraft batteries—and the Twin RB50A for starting the aircraft, reducing the risk of hot starts. Additionally, we offer a combination of start and continuous power in one unit designed specifically for SA 330 Puma aircraft in our TC3000 range.
