The Robinson R22 is a single-engine light utility helicopter, produced by Robinson Helicopter Company, being introduced in 1979. The R22 features a semi-rigid two-bladed main rotor, and side-by-side seating accomodating for 1 passenger. The R22 was an easy-to-control an affordable option for pilot training, due to low acquisition and operating costs, hence being primarily utilised in this category to this day. As a result of the small size and rotor system, the R22 is extremely easy to transport, and can be hauled on even a trailer.
