Sikorsky Uh-60 Black Hawk

The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, a medium-lift utility helicopter with twin engines, has been manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft since 1974. The UH-60’s design was submitted in response to a competition announced by the United States Army’s Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft System (UTTAS) in 1972. The Army sought a helicopter powered by the General Electric T700 engine, aiming for enhanced performance and reliability. The Black Hawk features a fully articulated four-blade main rotor, and its airframe is long and low-profile. Following a fly-off competition with its contender, the Boeing Vertol YUH-61, the Black Hawk (designated YUH-60A) emerged victorious and secured the contract.

Red Box is delighted to offer a comprehensive range of ground power and support equipment for this aircraft, encompassing tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, meticulously designed to meet the specific requirements of the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft.

This selection includes the 747C tug, and the RBSC100 continuous power unit, ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous powering of equipment during operations without depleting the onboard aircraft batteries. The Twin RB75A is available for starting the aircraft, helping to avoid hot starts. Additionally, we provide a combination of start and continuous power in a single unit for the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft in our TC3000 range.
