Cessna Citation 650

In 1974, Cessna initiated the development of an extended version of its original Citation I. The initial concept for the new Citation III (Model 650) featured three Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D engines; however, in 1976, a revised version was unveiled at the Fall NBAA convention. This updated design involved a transition from the initial three-engine configuration to two Garrett TFE 731-3B powerplants, accompanied by a distinct cockpit design and a T-tail.
