Leonardo (AgustaWestland) A109A

The AW109, originally designated A109, stands as a nimble, twin-engine, multi-purpose helicopter manufactured by AgustaWestland, now a part of Leonardo. The A109 was initially conceived in the late 1960s with the original plan for a single-engine commercial helicopter. However, responding to the heightened demand for a twin-engine helicopter, the designs underwent redevelopment, incorporating twin Allison 250-C14 powerplants. Introduced in 1976, the A109 achieved significant success across various utility roles, encompassing military tasks, light transport, medevac, and search-and-rescue missions. It holds the distinction of being the first all-Italian helicopter to undergo mass production, and production continues to the present day.

Red Box is delighted to present an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for this aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, all meticulously suited to meet the specific requirements of the Leonardo A109A aircraft.
