Today marks National Aviation Day!
Normally this event is celebrated in the US, however, it is starting to take off in other areas! First established by Roosevelt in 1939, the day was set for citizens to promote in interest in the industry and to celebrate the history and development of this amazing industry!
Today NASA released its Aeronautic Innovations for National Aviation Day. NASA released several lithographs on its website that identify the various technology it has developed since it was founded. NASA have made many contributions to the industry since then, including, advancements in propulsion, safety and navigation on commercial aircraft, military jets and helicopters.
