Why Are There so Few Women in Aviation?

Why Are There so Few Women in Aviation? An insightful article has recently appeared on the CNN website that looks into why there are so few women in the aviation industry.

According to the Women in Aviation: A Workforce Report, women account for less than 10% of pilots, maintenance technicians and airline executives.

From our point of view, it would be fantastic to see the number of women within the industry increase, and we see ourselves in a similar position with our engineering business too, as this is another industry that has seen a low level of women for far too long.
The positive is that more and more is now being done to highlight these industries to young women so,hopefully, this will lead to a far greater percentage of females working within both the aviation and engineering industry over the coming years and beyond.
