General Dynamics Convair 640

The Convair CV-580, a successor to the original Convair CV-240 commercial model produced between 1947 and 1954, emerged as a distinctive airliner. These aircrafts featured a twin-engine, low-wing monoplane configuration with an all-metal construction. Initially designed with a pressurized cabin accommodating 30 passenger seats, the model evolved into the CV-340, characterized by an extended fuselage to add extra seating capacity. Convair further developed the CV-640 model from the CV-340 and CV-440, equipping it with twin Rolls-Royce Dart turboprop engines that drove four-bladed propellers, a modification executed by Convair themselves.

Red Box is delighted to present a comprehensive selection of ground power equipment tailored for the Convair CV-640 aircraft. This range includes tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, meticulously designed to meet the specific needs of the Convair CV-640.

This includes the 757 and RBFLT180 tugs.
