Gulfstream Aero Commander

The Aero Commander 500, a family of light twin-engined aircraft, was developed and manufactured by the former Aero Commander, later becoming a division of Rockwell International in 1965. The inaugural production model, the Aero Commander 520, marked the beginning of a line that included various variants, each assigned a new designation. The prototype and initial version were equipped with two Lycoming O-435-A engines and featured a retractable landing gear, adopting a high-wing monoplane configuration constructed entirely of metal. The subsequent variant, the Aero Commander 500S, underwent design modifications, incorporating a pointed nose, squared-off tail, and Lycoming IO-540-E1B5 engines.
