Saab 2000

The Saab 2000 stands as a twin-engine high-speed turboprop airliner crafted by the Swedish company Saab. Developed as an evolution of the earlier Saab 340 regional airliner, the Saab 2000 was designed to meet the growing demand for a more efficient turboprop airliner capable of seating at least 50 passengers on short- or medium-range routes. To achieve this, the fuselage of the Model 340 was extended, and additional sections were integrated into the tips and roots of the wings, resulting in a larger wingspan.

The Saab 2000 features twin Rolls-Royce engines mounted on enhanced wings, driving 6-bladed Dowty propellers at a deliberately slow rotational speed. Presently, a limited number of Saab 2000 aircraft are in service, exclusively serving transport roles.
