PZL Mielec M28

The PZL M28 Skytruck stands as a versatile light cargo and passenger aircraft renowned for its short take-off and landing capabilities, manufactured by PZL Mielec in Poland. Originating from the license-built Antonov An-28, the PZL M28 underwent significant enhancements under PZL Mielec’s stewardship. The aircraft received new Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A powerplants, modernized avionics, and was designated the Skytruck. Despite these changes, the all-metal airframe and fixed landing gear were retained in its distinctive low-wing monoplane configuration. With a focus on short take-off and landing capabilities, the M28 Skytruck has been utilized predominantly for transport and patrol missions since production commenced in 1993.
