The Adam Aircraft Industries A500 was introduced in 2002, and is a six-seat civil utility aircraft that was produced by Adam Aircraft Industries. The aircraft utilises two Continental TSIO-550-E piston engines, mounted to achieve centerline thrust with push-pull configuration. To develop a new aircraft, Adam Aircraft Industries had been inspired by the M-309 CarbonAero technology demonstrator, hence using the centerline arrangement, and also including cabin pressurisation in the finalised plans.
