The Aermacchi MB-335 (now AM.3), initially manufactured by Aermacchi and Aeritalia (then Aerfer Industrie Aerospaziali Meridionali), is a tandem-seat aircraft designed for both pilot and observer with dual controls. The aircraft features functional space towards the rear, allowing for two stretchers, additional passengers, or freight transport. Furthermore, it is equipped with two underwing pylons capable of carrying 170 kg (375 lb) of stores each.
