The Aero 45 is a twin-piston engined aircraft produced in Czechoslovakia after World War II and shares a similar design to the Siebel Si 204. The model number of “45” refers to the 4/5 seats in the aircraft.
The Aero 45 has teardrop-shaped fuselage, with a rounded nose. It has a low wing where the engine nacelles were mounted, and a conventional tail. The main undercarriage was retractable but the tailwheel was fixed.
There also is the ‘145’ variant of this aircraft, where the engines were changed to be supercharged Motorlet (Walter) M332, produced later as Avia M 332s. This version was developed and built by Let, 162 aircraft built between 1959 and 1961.
