Agusta A109

The AgustaWestland AW109, originally designated A109, stands as a versatile, twin-engine, multi-purpose helicopter. Initially designed in the late 1960s for single-engine use, the A109 evolved into a twin-engine configuration, featuring twin Allison 250-C14 powerplants. Introduced in 1976, the A109 has achieved significant success in various utility roles, including military tasks, light transport, medevac, and search-and-rescue operations. As the first all-Italian mass-produced helicopter, production of the A109 continues to the present day.
