Airbus Helicopter (Eurocopter) UH-72A Lakota

The Eurocopter UH-72 Lakota is a twin-engine military helicopter. The UH-72A was based on the Eurocopter EC145, and was created as a proposal for a programme announced by United States Army, which called for a light utility helicopter to replace the aging fleet of the time. Subsequently, the original UH-145 variant won the competition, and was then re-designated UH-72 in 2006. The aircraft became utilised in several roles, including support missions and medevac applications, and even counter-narcotics operations. The initial version was designated UH-72A, which later got developed into further variants.
