The Beechcraft C23 has initially been introduced as the Musketeer Custom, to be later renamed the Sundowner. The first models used a series of engines; however, the aircrafts performance wasn’t as efficient as anticipated. In 1968, the previous Continental IO-346-A was replaced by the Lycoming O-360-A4J powerplant. The Beechcraft C23 Sundowner can be approved for some aerobatic activities; hence it became popular as a training aircraft for flying schools. Today, most of these aircrafts are owned privately.
