Beechcraft C23 Sundowner

The Beechcraft C23, initially introduced as the Musketeer Custom and later renamed the Sundowner, underwent notable improvements to enhance its performance. The initial models experienced some efficiency challenges with a series of engines, prompting the replacement of the Continental IO-346-A with the Lycoming O-360-A4J powerplant in 1968. The upgraded Beechcraft C23 Sundowner, now equipped with the Lycoming engine, earned approval for certain aerobatic activities, making it a favoured choice for flight training schools. Presently, many of these aircraft are privately owned.

Red Box takes pride in presenting a comprehensive range of ground power equipment tailored for the Beechcraft C23 Sundowner. Our offerings include tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, meticulously designed to meet the specific requirements of the Beechcraft C23 Sundowner aircraft.

To facilitate aircraft movement, we highly recommend the 709 tug. This tug streamlines the process, enabling a single person to manoeuvre the Beechcraft C23 Sundowner swiftly and safely in tightly stacked hangars or staging on the ramp.
