Derived from the Model 90, the Beechcraft Model 100 line consists of twin-engine utility aircrafts, manufactured by Beechcraft from 1969. The Model 100 was an extended version of its predecessor, with a number of significant improvements and inheriting some aspects from the Queen Air family as well. The first new variant in the Model 100 line was the A100 in 1972. Beechcraft ensured that increased MTOW and fuel capacity is achieved when developing the new design, also swapping the previously used propellers to a four-blade configuration.
