Bombardier (Business) Challenger 604

The Bombardier Challenger 600 series stands as a lineage of long-range business jets initially designed by Canadair, later acquired by Bombardier Aerospace in 1986 through the company’s acquisition of Canadair. The twin-engine design for the Challenger underwent significant enhancements to the originally envisioned airframe dating back to 1977. Notable updates included a T-tail, replacing the previously employed conventional tail, a widened fuselage, and a supercritical wing featuring a NACA symmetrical airfoil. The subsequent Challenger 604 series, introduced in 1996, incorporated modern avionics systems, structural enhancements for optimized performance, and uprated General Electric CF34-3B powerplants.

The Challenger’s cabin boasted an array of facilities, rendering the business jet highly appealing to the corporate market, with over a thousand models sold by 2018.
