The CASA CN235 is a twin-engined aircraft, that was jointly produced by Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (also known as CASA) and the Indonesian manufacturer IPTN. The CN-235 became widely used as air transport, and surveillance or maritime patrol aircraft, mainly in the country of Turkey. The co-operative design for the CN-235-10 was developed in 1980, however the first flight took place in 1983. The original model was powered by two General Electric CT7-7A engines, this later got changed to two CT7-9C in the elongated CN-235-100 and 110.
