Cessna 170

The Cessna 170 is a lightweight, single-engined general aviation aircraft manufactured by the Cessna Aircraft Company. Derived from the model 140, the Cessna 170 retains the four-seat configuration, metal construction, and fabric-covered constant-chord wings supported by a “V” strut. Production of the Cessna 170 commenced in 1948, featuring an upgraded design with a larger fuel tank and improved Continental C145-2 powerplants. Manufacturing continued until 1956, resulting in over 5,000 Cessna 170s built, with a significant number still actively in service today.

Red Box is delighted to present an extensive range of ground power and support equipment for this aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, meticulously designed to meet the specific requirements of the Cessna 170.

Our offerings include the 701E electric moving tug, the RBPS25 continuous power unit ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous equipment powering during operations without depleting the onboard aircraft batteries, and the RB25A for starting the aircraft, helping to avoid hot starts. We also provide a combination of start and continuous power in one unit for the aircraft in our TC3000 range.
