Cessna 185

The Cessna 185 Skywagon, a light, single-engined general aviation aircraft manufactured by Cessna, entered production in 1961. Derived from the model 180, Cessna re-engineered the aircraft, reinforcing the fuselage and introducing a vertical fin. Initially equipped with a Continental Motors IO-470-F engine, the aircraft underwent an upgrade in 1966, receiving the enhanced Continental IO-520-D powerplant. The Skywagon offered various optional features, including floats or skis, spray booms, and a cargo pod beneath the sub-fuselage for additional payload.

Red Box is delighted to provide an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for the Cessna 185 Skywagon aircraft. Our offerings include the 701D tug, the RBPS25 continuous power unit—ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous equipment powering during operations without depleting the onboard aircraft batteries. Additionally, we offer the RB25A for starting the aircraft, minimizing the risk of hot starts. Our TC3000 range includes a combination of start and continuous power in one unit designed specifically for the Cessna 185 Skywagon.
