The Cessna Stationair family consists of the Cessna 205, 206 and 207, all of which aircrafts are single-engine, with fixed landing gear. Although the Stationairs’ was intended to be used in general and personal aviation, they rapidly became widely used as bush planes, in use for nature photography/filming and other utility purposes. The Cessna 206’s production commenced in 1964, with the design based on the predecessing Cessna 210, and had utilised a Continental IO-520-A piston engine. The Cessna 206 had gained popularity due to its larger clamshell rear door allowing for easy loading of various sized cargo.
