The Cessna U206 was a dedicated utility aircraft, the “U” standing for utility, derived from the original model Cessna 206. To allow for easy loading of oversized cargo, the new U206 was equipped with a pilot side door and large clamshell rear door, these serving the back two rows of seats. The Cessna U206 was introduced in 1964, and had been named “Super Skywagon”. The model was manufactured under this title until 1969, and then had been re-named as the “Stationair”. The original Cessna U206 was powered by a Continental IO-520-A, offering 285 hp.
