DeHavilland Cc-138 Twin Otter

The Viking Air DHC-6 Twin Otter, formerly known as the De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, is a versatile 19-passenger utility aircraft renowned for its Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) capabilities. Its development began in 1964, drawing inspiration from the preceding single-engine DHC-3. Widely embraced in various sectors, including medevac, commuter passenger or cargo transport, and popularly employed in skydiving operations, the DHC-6 Twin Otter owes its success to features like a fixed tricycle undercarriage, twin Pratt & Whitney PT6A-20 turboprop engines, and an impressive rate of climb. The Canadian Forces designated the CC-138 Twin Otter as a search and rescue aircraft, derived from the DHC-6 Series 300.
