Diamond Aircraft DA20-C1

The Diamond DA20 C1, a two-seat light aircraft introduced in 1993, gained prominence, particularly in flight schools. Originally named DV20, this model incorporated features from the earlier Diamond HK36 Super Dimona. To meet North American aircraft demands, production shifted to a Canadian facility, leading to the model’s rebranding as DA20. The Diamond DA20 C1, also known as Katana Eclipse, enjoyed success in the market, paving the way for improved variants. Powered by a 125 hp Continental IO-240 engine, the aircraft’s battery was relocated to accommodate the engine. Previous Katana models featured simple hinged flaps, but due to increased weight, more sophisticated slotted flaps became essential to enhance stall speed.

Red Box is delighted to offer an extensive range of ground power and support equipment for this aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, precisely tailored to the requirements of the Diamond Aircraft DA20-C1.

This selection includes the 701D tug, the RBPS25 continuous power unit, ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous equipment powering during operations without depleting the onboard aircraft batteries, and the RB25A for starting the aircraft, helping to prevent hot starts. Additionally, we offer a combination of start and continuous power in one unit for the Diamond Aircraft DA20-C1 in our TC3000 range.
