Diamond Da42 Twin Star

The Diamond DA42 Twin Star is a four-seat, twin-engine, propeller-driven airplane. In the late 1990s, Diamond Aircraft Industries made a significant investment in developing a twin-engined aircraft, marking the first time the company ventured into the conceptualization of a multi-engine aircraft. The DA42 also holds the distinction of being the first new, multi-engine model manufactured in Europe in the past 25 years in its category. This innovative concept prioritized ease of operation, improved fuel efficiency, and the delivery of a remarkable quality and comfort level within the four-seat passenger compartment. Although the concept faced limited popularity initially, the DA42 proved to be a success, capturing approximately 80% of the piston twin market until production was suspended. In 2004, the DA42 Twin Star achieved a milestone by becoming the first diesel-powered fixed-wing aircraft to perform a non-stop crossing of the North Atlantic.

Red Box is delighted to present an extensive range of ground power equipment for this aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, meticulously tailored to meet the specific requirements of the Diamond DA42.

This selection includes the 701D tug, and the RBSC100 continuous power unit, ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous equipment powering during operations without depleting the onboard aircraft batteries. We also offer a combination of start and continuous power in one unit for the Diamond DA42 in our TC3000 range.
