Embraer E175 (ERJ-175)

The Embraer E-Jet family represents a series of narrow-body twinjet commercial airliners manufactured by Embraer of Brazil. Embraer unveiled its inaugural EMB 170 aircraft at the Paris Air Show in 1999, opting for the creation of a clean-sheet design, the EMB 170, instead of further developing its ERJ 145 aircraft to craft the new 70-seat EMB 170 jetliner. Featuring a twin-engine arrangement with General Electric CF34-8E powerplants and employing the “double bubble” format to facilitate a stand-up cabin, the subsequent E175 variant was constructed based on its predecessor. The E175 featured a slightly elongated fuselage, accommodating up to 88 passengers depending on the configuration. Upon entering service in 2005, the E175 faced competition from the contemporary Bombardier CRJ900.
