The Eurocopter AS355 Écureuil 2, also recognized as the Twin Squirrel, AStar, and now Airbus Helicopters H125, represents a twin-engine light utility helicopter. Initially designed and produced by Aérospatiale and Eurocopter, it is presently manufactured by Airbus Helicopters. In the 1970s, Aérospatiale identified the demand for a civil-oriented aircraft, prompted by the limited commercial success of their Gazelle model. The company embarked on developing an economical and affordable rotorcraft, resulting in the single-engine AS350 Écureuil. Subsequently, the firm introduced the twin-engine variant, named the AS355 Écureuil 2, incorporating two Allison 250-C20F engines.
