Eurocopter Ec 120 Colibri

The Eurocopter EC120 Colibri, now under the Airbus Helicopters brand, stands as a single-engine, light utility helicopter developed and manufactured by Eurocopter. Initially designated as the P120 rotorcraft, its design took shape in the 1980s in response to the need for a new aircraft to replace the Aérospatiale Gazelle and SA 315B Lama. Due to financial constraints, the project did not commence until 1992 when Eurocopter, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation, and Singapore Aerospace Ltd signed a contract for joint development. The first prototype took flight in 1995, and production officially began in 1997 for the EC120 Colibri. Featuring a three-bladed rotor and powered by a Turbomeca TM 319 Arrius 2F engine, the Colibri proved to be a cost-effective and easily controllable aircraft with a comfortable cabin, leading to a growing demand for the aircraft over time.

Red Box is delighted to present an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for the Eurocopter EC120 Colibri aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more.

Our offerings include the RBPS50 continuous power unit—an excellent choice for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or providing continuous power during operations without depleting onboard aircraft batteries—and the RB50A for starting the aircraft, reducing the risk of hot starts. Moreover, our TC3000 range provides a combination of start and continuous power in a single unit designed specifically for Eurocopter EC120 Colibri aircraft.
