The Eurocopter EC155, now known as the Airbus Helicopters H155, is a medium-lift passenger transport helicopter designed for civil aviation and introduced in 1999. Developed and manufactured by Eurocopter, it originated from the AS365 N3 Dauphin 2. The EC155 is equipped with twin Turbomeca Arriel 2C2 engines that power its five-blade composite main rotor. During the development of this new aircraft, the focus was on creating a redesigned cabin to enhance passenger comfort and provide additional cargo space for luggage. Depending on the configuration, the helicopter can accommodate up to 13 passengers, with an optional VIP modification introduced later. Marketed for passenger transport, corporate use, casualty transport, and offshore support, the EC155 offers versatility in various roles.
