Eurocopter Ec 225

The Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma, now known as the Airbus Helicopters H225, stands as a long-range passenger transport helicopter introduced in 2004. Representing the new generation within the civil utility Super Puma family, the EC225 was developed by Eurocopter in response to the demand created by the 1973 oil crisis for advanced rotorcraft used in offshore extractions. This led to the initiation of a new aircraft development, designated as the EC225. While the new model was a derivative of the preceding AS332 Super Puma, it featured improved rotor technology powered by new Turbomeca Makila 2A engines, necessitating a redesigned gearbox. The EC225 also boasted a new airframe aimed at reducing noise and vibration, making it more comfortable and cost-efficient than many of its competitors. Eurocopter marketed the EC225 for various roles, including public and VIP passenger transport, with its primary configuration remaining in offshore support.

Red Box is delighted to offer an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for the Eurocopter EC255 aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units and more.

Our offerings include the 747C tug, the RBSC225 continuous power unit—ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or providing continuous power during operations without depleting onboard aircraft batteries—and the Twin RB75A for starting the aircraft, reducing the risk of hot starts. Furthermore, our TC3000 range provides a combination of start and continuous power in a single unit designed specifically for Eurocopter EC255 aircraft.
