Northrop Firebird

The Northrop Grumman Firebird, designated as Model 355, is an intelligence-gathering aircraft created and manufactured by Northrop Grumman’s Scaled Composites. The aircraft was designed to operate at medium altitude and possess long-endurance capabilities, with Burt Rutan contributing to the development before his retirement. The Firebird features the twin-boom and pusher configurations, powered by a Lycoming TEO-540 engine. It is equipped with four modules designed to accommodate spy equipment, operating independently from the aircraft controls. A notable feature of the Firebird is its ability to be flown with or without a pilot, categorizing it as an optionally piloted vehicle.

Red Box is delighted to present a comprehensive range of ground power equipment tailored for the Northrop Grumman Firebird aircraft. This selection includes tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, all meticulously designed to meet the specific requirements of the Firebird.

Included in this offering is the 709 and RBFLT 52 tugs, all well-suited for the Northrop Grumman Firebird aircraft.
