Northrop Firebird

Northrop Firebird Ground Power EquipmentThe Northrop Grumman Firebird (designated Model 355) is an intelligence gathering aircraft, designed and produced by Northrop Grumman’s Scaled Composites. The design was for a medium-altitude and long-endurance capable aircraft, with Burt Rutan partaking in the development before his retirement. The Firebird encorporates the twin-boom and pusher configurations, utilising a Lycoming TEO-540 powerplant. It was also installed with four modules to fit spy equipment, working through a separate system from the aircraft controls. The most significant aspect of the Firebird is that it can be flown with or without a pilot, meaning it is considered as an optionally piloted vehicle.

Red Box is pleased to offer a great range of ground power equipment for this aircraft, including tugs, ground power units, start power units, aviation tools, and more, which are perfectly suited to the requirements of Northrop Grumman Firebird aircraft.
