Northrop T-38

The Northrop T-38 Talon stands as a twinjet supersonic jet training aircraft, originating from the initial N-156 project. This development emerged after a series of discussions with General Electric Aviation, which proposed a lightweight yet powerful engine for use in future aircraft. Subsequently, an agreement was reached to develop a lightweight fighter equipped with General Electric J85 engines. In the mid-1950s, the aircraft underwent modifications to meet a trainer requirement issued by the U.S. Air Force, eventually receiving the designation T-38 Talon. The Talon holds the distinction of being the world’s first supersonic trainer, remaining in production and active service to this day.

Red Box is delighted to present an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for the Northrop T-38 Talon aircraft. This selection includes tugs, ground power units, start power units and more, all meticulously designed to meet the specific requirements of the T-38 Talon.

Our offerings include the 717 tug, and the RBSC100 continuous power unit ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous powering of equipment during operations without depleting onboard aircraft batteries.
