Sikorsky S-92 Helibus/H-92 Superhawk

The Sikorsky S-92, constructed by Sikorsky Aircraft for civil utility, is a twin-engine medium-lift helicopter. Its military counterpart, the Sikorsky H-92, was developed from the S-92. The demand for a more suitable rotorcraft arose after the 1973 oil crisis forced gas companies to explore oil-rich areas further offshore. The designed aircraft, featuring the powerful General Electric CT7-8A engine, facilitated increased lifting capacity. This was achieved through a four-bladed articulated main rotor, tapered and angled down for reduced noise and vibration. Drawing inspiration from the Sikorsky S-70 helicopter, the S-92 shared certain aspects like flight controls.

The H-92, a military variant, could be adapted for various military missions such as search and rescue or executive transportation.

Red Box is delighted to present an extensive range of ground power and support equipment tailored for the Sikorsky S-92 and H-92 aircraft. This includes items like tugs, ground power units, start power units and more.

Among our offerings is the 747C tug, the RBSC100 continuous power unit – ideal for diagnostic work, pre-flight checks, or continuous powering of equipment during operations without draining the onboard aircraft batteries. The RB75A is available for starting the aircraft, helping to prevent hot starts. Additionally, we provide a combination of start and continuous power in one unit for the Sikorsky S-92 and H-92 aircraft in our TC3000 range.
