Sikorsky S58T

The Sikorsky H-34, designated S-58 by the company, stands as a piston-engined military helicopter initially crafted as an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft by Sikorsky. The original S-58 design drew inspiration from the S-55 model, featuring a lengthened fuselage and tail-dragger landing gear. Production commenced in the mid-1950s, with the initial models entering service with the U.S. Navy. Subsequently, the S-58 found application as a commercial aircraft, serving roles such as VIP transport, search and rescue, and more. The S-58T, a later variant tailored for the commercial market, was equipped with the advanced Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6T-3 twin-pac turboshaft engine.
