Boeing 707

The Boeing 707 is a narrow-body airliner with long-range capacity, as well as the first jetliner produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The Boeing 707 is often credited with commencing the Jet Age, and had also made Boeing C.A. a commanding manufacturer. Boeing begun working on the 367-80 prototype in 1952, from which the 707 was developed with the first production airliner designated 707-120 was certified in 1958. The design comprises of a swept wing, with four podded Pratt & Whitney Canada JT3C-6 engines mounted on the wings. The extended fuselage allowed for additional seating, giving the 707-120 a passenger capacity of up to 189. The infamous aircraft was later developed into further variants, which had dominated the market continously.
